Not Great on Carpet but Sturdy Nonetheless, December 16, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Standard Bamboo Chair Mat, 36" x 48" with Lip, 5mm Thick Natural (Office Product) It's a good product and, although I can't say I love it, I would buy it again. I purchased this based upon my fondness for the same product in a darker finish that a friend owns. I still prefer the look of the darker finish as it is much richer looking than the natural is, but it would not have worked with my office furniture.
My lack of love is due to the finish. It is a honey color and it doesn't look quite right (in my opinion) on bamboo. I could not find this product a clear finish, however. At the end of the day it is a giant improvement over its clear plastic predecessor.

Much nicer to deal with and look at than the old acrylic kind that "bite" the carpet and crack. Only complaint I have is they move around a little on carpet, but we can deal with that. All in all, very satisfied. Good product with good value.

Desk chair rolls easily on the mat and the mat moves very little over time. I have had several mats over the years and this is the best value and I expect it to be durable.
