My favorites! Best I've ever used., November 2, 2007 By I love these markers and I've had them for nearly a year. To be fair to the other reviewer, I don't highlight a huge quantity of text, and some--not all--of the colors are too dark for that purpose. The ink is too wet for highlighting thin pages, so I would never use them for scriptures, parchment, etc.
I use them for organizing- to highlight names, topics, headings, folder tabs, etc., for genealogy and other folders full of files, and I bought these because I needed the color range.
For this use they are absolutely PERFECT, long lasting, clear and smooth to use. I only saw the other review because I was coming back for more- my daughter steals them for coloring in her projects, and they are wonderful for that use, too- card making, etc.
If you use the color method for organizing family history/genealogy lines, this is the best set on the market, having the color range necessary (even the elusive RED!) for accurate coding. For what it's worth.

Sharpie should just stick to permanent markers..., March 14, 2007 By This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to come on to Amazon.com and rate a product for poor performance. But first the good...
PROS:
-Variety of colors
-Smooth, even ink flow dries quickly, doesn't bleed on your hands while you use them.
-The fine point on the edge of the tip is great for writing down a quick note if you have to and the broad base of the tip covers your regular 12 pt. font nicely without highlighting the line of text above or below the current line you are highlighting.
CONS:
-The darker shades (red, dark blue) are too dark. You can barely read the font that you "highlighted".
-THEY DON'T LAST!!! -This reason alone is why I gave them 2 stars. If the ink would last longer than one day, these would be great highlighters. However, I can empty out an entire pen in 1-2 days of highlighting texts when I study. To give you an idea, you can highlight about 20 pages of single-spaced 12... Read more

Less Ink Than You Think, March 27, 2008 By I have this highlighter style in Yellow only.
The ink cartridge is considerably smaller than the barrel that conceals most of it, but you can tell by tipping the pen and observing the liquid's displacement. It runs out kinda quick for this reason - and that it bleeds like new from-new-until-empty. Most highlighters will moderate their flow after a break-in period, but not this one; it "puddles" till the fat lady sings, and I sometimes had to blow on the page to keep it from soaking through (the book I was marking had thin page stock).
I also think the spring loaded end-cap is a bit of overkill, as it doesn't break-in with use and requires unnecessary pressure to pop on and off.
All in all, I think they are selling a Stylish Look here, and I was much more satisfied with the Bic "Bright Liner Grips" I also used. They lasted a lot longer.
