Great product for what it does, February 4, 2012 = Durability:

This review is from: Crayola 1ct Dual-Ended Erasable Highlighter (Toy) I've purchased eraseable markers in the past but the Crayola markers are the best, most long-lasting I've used. We like them and will purchase more in the future.
I did not like the fact that the seller would not bundle markers for shipping. It seems that they could easily reduce shipping and handling for the second, third or more markers.
Better than eraseable friction highlighters, January 30, 2012 = Durability:

This review is from: Crayola 1ct Dual-Ended Erasable Highlighter (Toy) These are highlighters with ink that erases with a disappearing ink on the other end. It's great for cleaning up a book after you're done reading it, or to correct mistakenly highlighted text. The yellow is a very nice neon bright but not too dark at all.
PROS OF THESE CRAYOLA: No rubbing, so no rubbed text or damaged pages. Great ink. Lasts a very long time. Doesn't bleed through easily like some highlighters (you really have to hold the tip on the same spot for a long time to make it bleed through)
CONS OF THESE CRAYOLA: When you use the erasing ink somewhere on a page, you can't re-highlight that part of the page with this highlighter because the eraser ink just keeps erasing the new ink that goes on top of it. Not sure if this wears off after a while, I've never tested it. Inn the rare instance this comes up, I will just grab a regular highlighter to do it real quick on top, because regular highlighters aren't affected by the erasing ink. DUH... Read more
Works as expected with some drawbacks, November 30, 2011 By Sushi Chef "Tad" (California) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Crayola 1ct Dual-Ended Erasable Highlighter (Toy) As advertised, you can highlight and "unhighlight". However, one thing I do not like about it is that I can never highlight where I have once unhighlighted. When I try to highlight the section that was once unhighlighted, the color is immediately erased and thus not highlighted. This is true even after the eraser chemical is completely dry after several weeks. It seems like a permanent limitation. It would be nice if I can highlight and unhighlight repeatedly. I have to ask myself before I unhighlight - "is it ok not being able to highlight the section again, ever?"
Also, the directly opposite side of the paper often cannot be highlighted after I unhighlight on a regular paper, such as text book page, as the eraser chemical penetrates to the other side.
Overall, I find this product interesting and useful in many cases, but I also have to point out that the limitations are significant as I mentioned above.
